Hi, A lot of scholarships I find are only for U.S educational institutions. I plan on studying at the University of Manchester in the UK and I cant seem to find any scholarships that are for high school students planning on studying in the UK.

Unfortunately, no.

The UK tends to see international students as a cash cow to subsidise domestic students, hence why there’s not really any financial aid available for internationals. That said, it can work out cheaper than studying in the US, because degrees are three years long (in England and Wales, 4 years in Scotland) and international tuition fees are around £14,000 ($22k) for essay based subjects.

^However,

@4kidsdad that’s a really useful bit of info. However, I will say that they are vastly over-estimating some of the costs of living. I spend about £25pw on food (they reckon £60) and a bus pass which covers the whole city for the whole year is £200 (they reckon £520; this would only be vaguely sensible if they were including costs of going on trips around the UK).

I reckon I spend £7.5-8k pa (though I don’t have flight costs); they reckon £10,550 all in.
