Hey I was just curious about what I should expect for financial aid from Cornell...i'm a little worried because my dad makes about 100,000 dollars a year, and I have a 40,000 dollar insurence policy. However, I want to go to Medical school and I don't want to be over my head in debt after 4 years...and also, i would go as a recruited athlete, and I know a lot of people get given work by the university. Do they really exepct athletes to hold a job as well as competing in a varsity sport??? Oh yea, and I have a brother whos a sophmore in college and a sister who is 5 years behind me. Bascially, does anybody out there have any sort of idea about what I should expect from financial aid?? I am seriously worried about this because I really want to attend Cornell but if the packet is too rediculous i don't think it would be worth it...

No athletic scholarships at Ivies. Aid based on need only. Sorry!

You will just have to wait and find out to get the concrete answer (u get ur aid package before you decide [for RD at least] and you can always ask for more). If the school really wants you they can always find money somewhere (fellowships, scholarships, grants, ect...). At least people in the medical field don't have to worry about money later in life lol (usually)
