I applied to Swarthmore ED II and was accepted. The college gave me a tentative financial aid offer. On March 26 I got "the fat one," and inside, a letter stated that I would hear directly from the office of financial aid about any offers. It is now two weeks later, and I have yet to hear from them. Is anyone else in my situation? All of my other friends have received their financial aid packages from their respective schools, and I'm starting to feel a little worried.

Call the financial aid office. The “tentative” aid package suggests that they may have been waiting on confirmation of something from you to “finalize” the offer.

The other possiblity is that your “tentative” offer was made before the final tuition and fees were set for next year.

The financial aid office would be the best place to straighten it out.
