<p>If I am accepted ED to Vandy, will my financial aid package look the same as if I applied RD?</p>
<p>if it is based on need, you will be treated fairly. There are people who have posted here who received merit money as ED applicants but we have no stats on that. In general, ED is a lock so common sense would say less chance of merit used as a carrot, but the merit money at Vanderbilt is given out after careful reading of applications and it seems that some ED students are remembered for merit money even after all the RD applications arrive. Vandy has awesome financial need offerings with no loan packages and fair reviews using CSS Profile plus FAFSA and whatever their private standards as a college are in the mix. Colleges that use both CSS and FAFSA can come to different conclusions based on institutional practices.</p>
