Financial Aid for GWU

So when I applied to GWU on the Common Application, I clicked the box that said I would want financial aid, etc... (I applied for lots of scholarships, so hopefully I don't need to worry about it) But when I got the acceptance online, it had at the bottom 3 links for Financial Aid that said was due soon. Do I have to fill it all out for me to try to get aid from GWU within a few weeks? Or until I get my FAFSA filled out starting Jan 1st.

For EDI I believe they send you an estimate of what your package will be in a couple weeks. Did you submit the CCS Profile and Part 1 of the ED1 Financial Aid App with your parents taxes? Those were due by November 12th I’m pretty sure (these are what they use for estimate). I may be wrong on this date though, I submitted them by then but double-check.

There was an ED Applicant Checklist off GW’s website that we followed. We had to fill out the Profile (CSS) and submit the Early Decision Financial Aid Form along with a copy of parent’s and student’s 2009 signed Federal tax returns and W-2 statements. GW gives out their financial packages (grants, etc.) based on this information that is submitted at time of application. The FAFSA isn’t due until 2/1/11. I just noticed on my copy of our paperwork that that there is a Part 2 of the ED1 FA application that is due 5/2/11. You have to include your filed and signed 2010 taxes and W-2’s for them to give you a final and complete awards package in June.

Sure hoped you and your parents looked at the following:

ED1 has Part 1 and Part 2 requirements for FA.

Congrats on acceptance!

I never received those because I applied through Common Application and I didn’t sign up for the gwu account until I went to check my acceptance (because it told me to)… I think it said to send it as soon as possible, can I send it through now? And is there a way I can fax it to them or does it have to be via mail???
