Can anyone please let me know if there is any other way for international students to pay for their college tuitions and fees. Some of the colleges and universities do not offer financial aid both need-base and merit-base for international students.
I know that you can get private companies to fund for you to go to college but does that work for international students as well?

Yes, there are. You need to do a lot of work and research to find them. That is part of the processing of applying for them–finding them. You can look at FASTWEB and other scholarship lists and services and cull through them. No one is going to hand a list of them over on a silver platter.

Most of them have specialty requirements anyways, and they are very difficult to get. Not something anyone can count on getting.

Start looking for the opportunities and also looking at those colleges that have awards that international students can have too.

What school does the OP go to? Some schools are need blind and meets full need for international students like HYPM, Dartmouth, and Amhearst but those schools are difficult to gain admission.

The OP has posted a number of questions on the NYU forums. Perhaps he/she has applied to NYU.

OP…there are not a lot of scholarships available privately here to folks who are not U.S. citizens or green card holders. If your school didn’t provide you with sufficient aid to attend, you could take out loans if you have a cosigner to do so. But do be careful not to borrow and get yourself into high debt for your undergrad studies.

You will need to verify that you have enough money to cover your expenses here including your college expenses, or you will not be able to get a visa to study here. This can include financial aid from the colleges and APPROVED loans.

I need to start searching people’s posts more before making a post to offer advice or ask a question. :embarrass: Also I heard that NYU is notorious for leaving their students graduating with massive amounts of debt. They are like on the top 10 of most debt students after graduation.
