financial aid for international students - PLZ READ THIS!!!

what r some schools that give decent amounts of financial aid to international students??

im not necessarily talking about need-blind schools (coz i know there arent that many of them)...

btw, if anyone out there has personal experience with this i would really appreciate your advice!!

Well, I know Williams is supposed to give excellent financial aid (and is also need blind). Dartmouth and Grinnell(unsure of this one) also give aid, Bard is another one. I know most institutions have a rule where they only meet half of the costs, so you'd still have to come up with the other half. This is the case at Bard, for example. I'm pretty sure Amherst gives aid as well.

thanx!! im gonna look into dartmouth's, grinnell's, and bard's financial aid policies. i knew about williams and amherst but they're REALLY selective (im probably gonna apply anyway coz they're awsome schools...)

anyone else??

Universities that give full aid to int'l: Ivy,Caltech,MIT,Duke,UChicago,Stanford.
There are some scholarship at Notre Dame, JHU, Northwestern also. Vanderbilt can provide full-tuition scholarship. Brandeis has Wien scholarship to cover all the expenses. UVa has 3 Thomas Jefferson Scholarships for int'ls. This is basic information about top-tier universities.

For LACs, there are more that can give full ride. For top 50 LAC, I'm just giving some minor tips. Bard rarely gives a full ride, you often have to contribute a good portion, the same with Reed. Barnard and Bowdoin give out 4 partial or full aid each year. Harvey Mudd is 2. Bucknell requires a family contribution at least about $10,000. Grinnell only provides full scholarship to applicants from certain countries.

for grinnell, r u an applicant from the country u live in (but dont have citizenship) or the country u were born in??

Would they consider me as if im applying from India?
