Financial Aid for International Students

Can International applicants apply for financial aid?
If yes, would appling for it affect their chances of being admitted?
How significantly?

very very difficult, maybe almost impossible.
Chicago and Stanford are notorious for the chance.

Can international students apply for aid? Yes, but Stanford is NOT need-blind for financial aid to international students. It would drastically hurt your chances of being admitted if you applied for aid. But, if you are admitted Stanford will meet your aid requirements. But applying for aid may make your chances at admittance from 7% to 1%. It really hurts BAD, when internationals apply for aid. So, I suggest do undergrad in your home country, then apply to Stanford for grad school.
