Hi! I got into this college, but I worry if I can afford it. I'm an international student, and CWRU only has scholarships for international students. I wonder if they are generous to international students. I really like this school, but the financial problem is a big deal...

I was also wondering the same thing!
I hoped I would get a scholarship but it was not mentioned in my acceptance letter so…
But I don’t think you can apply for FA now, can you?

Unfortunately, I think that CWRU does not usually provide much financial assistance to international undergraduate students. Case is a great school, but I don’t think that I would pay full price for it if it was going to strain my finances. Do you have some other, less expensive, options available?

Last year 9 International Students received Financial Aid from Case. The average award was $14,222.

As LonestarMR mentioned, CASE does not offer too much FA to International Applicants.

@hotspurs , I don’t think you still can apply for FA, since the financial aid budget should be limited(I got into Bard College too, and this is what they told me). You can still call CWRU to ask about it though.
@LonestarMR, yeah, I do have other options I’m thinking of UCSD or Purdue or Penn State

@Victoria1997 - congratulations, those are excellent options to have! They are similar schools in many ways. All three are large, public research-oriented institutions with very good resources. UCSD has the best location, by far. But, the schools are so similar in scope and quality that I would probably lean toward selecting the college that offers you the lowest overall cost of attendance.

@LonestarMR, thanks, haha, do you have any idea about accounting major of those 3 schools?

I’m not sure about accounting, per se. But in USNWR’s 2014 ranking of undergraduate business programs, Purdue and Penn State are tied at #22 and UCSD is #58. However, be careful about selecting a school based solely on the strength of one program of study, since students often change majors during the course of their college careers. (btw, CWRU is ranked #34)

oh I see thanks!
