Financial Aid for International Students

I am an international student applying to USC.
1. USC doesn't give out need-based financial aid to international students. Is that correct? If yes, then I don't need to submit CSS profile nor FAFSA?

For the Financial Statement of Personal or Family Support in the Common App (<a href="http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/docs/Part2_InternationalForm_1516.pdf">http://www.usc.edu/admission/undergraduate/docs/Part2_InternationalForm_1516.pdf</a>), what do I put down in the Yearly amount of support in US dollars? Do I just put down $64761 (the total estimated cost) since I won't be receiving any aid?

Also, how do I get "documentation of available funds (such as savings deposits, checking accounts, investment portfolios, or a signed bank letter verifying the ability to pay educational expenses)"? What are they looking for?
I'm confused

The university wants assurance in writing that an international student will have sufficient funds to support himself/herself for the academic year. I suggest you e-mail the financial aid office and ask for clarification. Which documents will fulfill the requirements? Banking systems vary around the world.

If you have a superb record academically, outside awards, a high level of accomplishments and top test scores do apply for the international merit scholarships. There are not many, but it does not hurt to apply.
