Too bad it can't be stickied.

Besides the Ivies and some good universities, almost all the top liberal arts colleges (US News) offer financial aid, among which Grinnell, Carleton, Conn. College, Midd, MHC are some (where I know ppl under finaid).

Colgate has very good packages too

can transfer students get fin aid?

That depends on individual schools. I believe Bates does, but not so sure. I think Knox does, too? Possibly Beloit as well. But this is something that can't be searched in college sites (to my best of knowledge) so the wisest choice is to scour each school's website and see if they even accept international transfers, then if they offer aid.

well.... most school have no fixed policy on aid for international transfers but if u are admitted ...the chances are that they will giv u aid as well..... provided they give aid and or/ scholarship to 1st yr international freshman already attending the university. SO well definitely first look out for places which allow the international transfer and then go ahead to search for other viable options and selection factors...

SM

i dont know abt other colleges.. but Colgate definitely offers aid to transfer (regardless of internationality) applicants

Bump...any updates to this?

I disagree with smartmind - most colleges have a very clear policy on financial aid for international transfer applicants.

So, barium is still out here, eh?...
Nice to see you here.
As for news updates, Stanford is planning something as a ''big leap'' in this area. (I can't be any more specific until they announce some further progress)

how about Sarah Lawrence? they state on the website that international students are eligible for limited need-based financial aid, but really how generous is Sarah Lawrence to international students? if I apply ED, will I be given any sort of 'priority' consideration for financial aid?

Some interesting statistics at the bottom of this page:

Wow, thanks!!!

The most interesting aspects imo:
International admission rate w/o fin aid: 33%
International admission rate w/ fin aid: 10%

Exactly why I referred to the link as 'interesting'!
