I know that Haverford takes in only 3 international with full need met!!! Does that mean other internationals requiring aid will be rejected? Or is there the procedure of taking in internationals whose need will be met only partially...after all the competition for those 3 places will be immense I suppose...

I believe HC has 3-4 full scholarships for international students for each class. This is separate from the scholarships for students from Puerto Rico (clearly) and also separate from the "Islamic" scholars program which brings 1-2 students from the middle east each year to attend HC for 1 year after they finish their undergrad at their home institution. I think HC's international student rate is 8-9%... so you can be accepted but not necessarily with the $.

If you go on the HC webpage and click "financial aid", it will take you to a laundry list of common Q/A, several of which are specific for international applicants. Also, under the student life page, under "clubs and organizations", then "cultural and ethnic", you can contact the "international students association" and directly e-mail some current kids and ask your questions.

Thanks HC ALUM...I have contacted the coach as well as one of the students of Haverford from Nepal and they both have responded promptly..It's getting very easy now to put up my concerns....
