<p>Do internationals have to be a "super-students" in order to be able to get a decent amount of financial aid from Columbia?</p>
<p>I think I would have had at least a little chance if I was applying without financial aid but now I don't really know what to expect. I'm prepared for a rejection but still what kind of international students are offered aid?</p>
<p>um if you get aid as an international at columbia you’ll probably receive a lot, they (perhaps only unofficially) have a limited number of people they give aid to and these tend to be very competitive in the accepted pool, so columbia really wants them to come, and will give them a lot of aid, if you don’t make that cut off and apply for aid it’s a thin envelope. also you obviously need to account for financial need also.</p>
