Hi,
I read online that all universities that are need based don't make parents who earn less than $60000 more than $5000, including the student working on campus. Is that right? And does it go for international freshman and transfer students? Is cornell one of those?
Thanks

What schools are you defining as “need based”?

All schools do not have the same guidelines or formulas in regards to aid.

All schools do not have the same guidelines about those who earn $60k.

All schools do not treat int’ls the same, nor do they treat transfers the same.

Many schools that do “meet need” for domestic students do NOT for int’l students and/or transfers.

What is your situation?

Are you an int’l?

Are you a transfer student?

Which schools are you looking at?

My best choices are cornell and yale

I’m and international student

I missed application this year this is why I’m asking for transfer questions

Transfers are less likely to get aid or accepted, so you’re better off taking a gap year, so that you don’t have to apply as a transfer.

Last time I checked, Cornell did not guarantee to meet need for int’l transfers. You should read the info on their website carefully.

I’m mighty confused. Are you currently in your last year of high school? Or did you complete high school last year and now want to transfer?

I’m in my last year at school and I have limited funds ($5000) for college and I want to join cornell. What Do I need to Do?

Please guys I need someone whose been in there and knows well the admission process and the people there and till me if there’s a chance to be admitted to cornell or not.

Thanks

Since english is not your native language, you need to take the TOEFL exam and submit that score instead.
