Financial aid for online credit by exam degrees

Because of working multiple jobs to support myself and my family, I can only afford to achieve my degree in nursing by pursuing online credit by exam classes. The site I am enrolling in, Excelsior, is stating that government loans aren’t allowed for this type learning, even though I will walk out having done the same amount of work and with the same degree as someone else who’s attended a college setting.

Is there any loopholes or ways around this ruling? Are there other options out there besides obtaining a personal loan?

If the school doesn’t participate in the federal loan program, then no, there aren’t other government loans available. Private loans aren’t going to be easy to get either as the guarantees the lenders receive require the loans to be for approved programs.

i don’t think the degree will be just like other programs. Make sure it is before you hand over your money.
