<p>Ok, it's rare that I have a complaint about Elon, but I am highly aggravated and stressed at this point. We did not apply for FA last year, but due to a job loss resulting in lower income, we have applied for the upcoming year, and still have not received our award letter. I have verifed that our file is complete and was originally told they would have award letters out to returning students in early June. Then it was "hopefully by mid-June". So now it is June 18th, and still nothing. It really irritates me that the bill is due in 6 weeks and I still don't have an award letter. I don't even expect grant money, although any amount would be appreciated. Just want to finalize loans and be done with it.</p>

<p>Just an fyi for anyone else in the same situation - I called today and was able to get the award details over the phone. The awards should be online and in the mail next week. Award was generous and I am feeling better.</p>
<p>An update for anyone else in same situation - award letter was finally posted online so that son could accept the subsidized and unsubsidized Stafford loan pieces. He also received a nice amount of grant funds - unexpected and appreciated. We still have not received anything in the mail - supposedly more info arrives in the mail. And still no clear direction on how the Parent Plus loan works - I applied and was approved - but have yet to finalize the amount with Elon. So - happy with the FA package - but I think they are way behind where they should be 4 weeks before the bill is due. The bill, incidentally, is still not available online. My experience was different with older son’s university - had FA award letter first week of June consistently - and bill was posted online at roughly the same time. I’m just finding Elon a little lacking in this area.</p>
