<p>I'm really interested in study abroad in summer but I'm not sure I can afford it. is there financial aid for study abroad or any kind of scholarships?</p>
<p>Check with your current school (the one you usually attend, not the abroad one). It is possible that whatever FA you would get at your school if you were not going abroad will be the same or similar. If you are not enrolled in a school, then I would guess the only aid would be given by the organization through which you are traveling/studying, if they have such a thing, and some organizations do have FA.</p>
<p>As Franglish says - check with the college where you are enrolled. They may have separate scholarship grants available that you can apply to, totally separate from your regular package. Also check with your departmental advisor, and any other departments that might be connected to the work you plan on studying over the summer. (eg, my daughter is doing research in Berlin, and, because of the subject matter, she was able to apply thru two separate departments for grants). </p>
<p>It you are looking to do this over summer 2011, it is likely too late to apply for any grants.</p>
