<p>Is there any financial aid for oos students at UC schools such as UCLA or UCSB since the tuition is stil high? Do they meet need? Or are you better off at a private such as USC, Claremont schools, or Loyola?</p>
<p>As is the nature of most state universities, the UCs give very little FA to OOS students. Last year UCB met our need: 45k/yr in LOANS.</p>
<p>There is not much for OOS kids, Pell, ACG, SMART grants and loans plus Regents , Chencellors, and Alumni merit money.</p>
<p>Try both private and public to see where you get a better deal</p>
