<p>Anyone else feel like venting? The waiting for our refunds with no indication from financial aid whatsoever about what's going on and when it'll pay out is getting incredibly frustrating.</p>

<p>My main source of annoyance isn’t just my books (although that’s obviously a part of it), it’s that my rent is due in a week and my car insurance payment is now two weeks late. I would’ve paid an extra month of it with my summer financial aid if I knew that this was going to happen, but I was foolish and assumed I’d get my aid on time.</p>
<p>Yea I went in today and talked to them and they said my cal grant would be paid by mid September…which is better than nothing but doesn’t help much with the book situation.</p>
<p>Unless you have literally no money in the bank, FinAid shouldn’t be this frustrating. FAO won’t not pay you – it’ll just take a while. I mean, have you seen the size of the campus? Truthfully, I’d rather have a reliable FAO even if it’s slow…And our FAO is pretty reliable.</p>

<p>Yeah, my perkins loan was sent to cars about two weeks ago.</p>

<p>Did he complete a separate loan counseling for the perkins loan? I received an email about three weeks ago asking me to complete it</p>
<p>Yes, he did and got a confirmation showing completion. He signed his master promissory note too…</p>
<p>My main annoyance is it hasn’t paid yet, so I’m not registered, so I can’t sign up for the RSF. As long as it is cleared up soon, I won’t mind too much though.</p>
<p>no…but they did say the berkeley UG scholarship had gone through and would be paid out by thursday…im not getting loans so i dont know about that.</p>

<p>My son’s UG Scholarship finally paid out! Yay! Just waiting on the Perkins loan. That’s the last piece of financial aid and then he gets his refund. So close…</p>

<p>has anyone’s parent plus loans dropped yet? This is so frustrating, i’m out 2 months rent and books and can’t pay my bills because I’m paying my son’s expenses without the loans I can’t do this. Don’t have help from his dad so I’m on my own with EFC of 28K, why does a public education have to be so expensive and my last vent is why is it costing me 49% more this year than it cost when he started Cal in 2008, this is crazy. The cost should be guaranteed for your 4 years once you get in, just my 2 cents.</p>

<p>When did you see that the grants paid out? It takes a day for the amount to appear on the quick statement.</p>
