If anyone is wondering where their SHIP grant is, I called last week and was told that the financial aid office is still waiting to hear word on the status of the SHIP grants. Not sure what that means, but there you go.

this is aggravating! ><

i don’t even have my ****ing CalGrant. what gives…

Yeah I just realized today that even though the Cal Grant was confirmed I didn’t get the refund for it yet… ugh this is irritating.

any updates anyone?

okay so i went to the financial aid office today FINALLY things are moving along. within one week my funds will be deposited in my bank account.

FINALLY

FINALLLLLLY

FIIIIIINALLY!

Thank heavens! I’ve been watching this from afar and have felt so badly for those of you that didn’t get your aid on time. This is good news! Hang in there. :-)

Got the last of my funds recently. I’m happy.

not me… what the eff!

Got mine about two weeks ago. I finally got fed up with being stressed about paying my bills, so I called and emailed both the Financial Aid office and the Cal Grant office every day until it was deposited.

^^^ That is exactly what needs to be done… Good for you!

^^ haha i shouldve done that! the day i went to raise hell in the finaid office was the day the process was initiated. I was very busy with my schoolwork though.

@momfirst yeah its been pretty crazy. borrowing rent money from parents who dont make much money, 1.5k in debt on my credit card. cant wait to pay it off.

I’m so sorry. You must have been so stressed out! I am glad you got it all taken care of. What I don’t understand is why did some people get their aid on time and some did not? What caused your’s to be delayed? Why did my son get all of his on time???

I think since there are so many students the Financial Aid office was bound to make mistakes. That’s what I’m thinking.

I’m just glad my parents had the extra money for me to pay everything in the meantime. We got a nice refund back though which was nice :)

I don’t know why they made you pay for their mistake. They should have just let you keep a balance until the funds came through… I mean kids make their decisions to go there based on their financial aid offers. It seems wrong to say “Here’s your offer. Oh, never mind. It’s late. You pay for it.”
