It says on my finaid that I have the UCI grant, ACG grant, and the Pell Grant.
However for my UCI grant, it says accepted while for the other two, it says confirmed.
So I'm wondering what the confirmed status means.

I’d assume that it’s all good to go, you just need to accept it and it will all be yours, congratulations.

Thanks Gamer but the thing is that there is not drop down menu for me to choose to accept it.
Here’s a pic of it

Dont worry im pretty sure you’re ok!

They always automatically accept the UCI grant since they are the ones giving it to you and they have to verify your information for the Cal grant and Pell Grant with the government and that’s why it says “confirmed”. You’re ok!

Thanks very much Dan!

You’re welcome!

some advice… TAKE THE SUBSIDIZED LOAN

1% penalty for taking it, no interest for 4 years…

invest it in some 2% CDs watch it grow 8%…

@xelink
what is the 1% penalty for taking the loan? I saw no such penalty on the description or not any that I recall of.
And also can you give me some tips on what type of CD I should get, if I decide to get one?
Such as the length of the term, compound interest daily or monthly?

@warriors if you click on the link Federal Subsidized Loan on that page where you took the screen shot it’ll tell you that the govt pays interest and that there’s a 1%origination fee for taking it, although it says 0.5% rebate with each disbursement… i can’t tell if there’s a fee or rebate… because with my aid disbursement this quarter, it’s the same as the loan amount split into 3, no less. maybe it’s cus i wasn’t given that much to deduct from anyways…
but if the rebate is true, then it’s just a 0.5% fee in the end
