Financial Aid in RD Round for Questbridge

I don’t know if this question has already been answered, but do Questbridge Finalists who weren’t matched but are accepted to a Questbridge partner school get more financial aid than other applicants? Any comments are welcomed!

I forgot to write accepted to a Questbridge partner school regular decision. Sorry about that

The simple answer is no… not on the basis of being a QuestBridge Finalist. Nearly all of the QuestBridge Partner colleges and universities have a commitment to meet 100% of demonstrated financial need, and once an applicant is accepted, that commitment applies to all equally. My daughter is a QuestBridge Finalist who did not participate in the National College Match program, but she was accepted Regular Decision to USC and attends there now. She received a fair and adequate financial aid package, but I doubt that USC Financial Aid even knew about her QuestBridge status once they started to evaluate her in terms of necessary financial assistance. The key thing is the school’s commitment toward meeting demonstrated need. And USC, like the majority of QuestBridge Partners, thankfully are committed to meeting 100%. Good luck with your college decision…

Thanks for your input! Hoping for some good news

@WWWard Hi, I am a questbridge finalist and was just accepted to USC and was wondering if you’d be comfortable sharing you and your daughter’s experience with getting financial aid and how much it was. Do you still need to take out loans and such, does it cover everything from room and board to books, or just most of tuition?
