Financial Aid Info has been "pending" for over 2 weeks...possible sign of rejection?

The financial aid forms that I faxed a few weeks ago have been pending for over two weeks now, and this kind of concerns me. I feel like it might be a sign that I was rejected because they probably wouldn't take the time to go through the tax forms of someone that they didn't accept. USC is my top choice, and I really want to get accepted! I just found out yesterday that I was wait listed at Pepperdine University (second choice), so I'm just hoping for the best at this point! USC is the last school that I need to hear from!

Also, what do you think my chances are of getting accepted?
Here are my stats:

SAT: 1900
UW GPA: 3.83/4.0
W GPA: 4.93/5.0
Class Rank: Top 9% of class (school is highly competitive)

of Honors/AP Courses: 7 AP & 7 Honors (14 Total)

Clubs: Choir (9th), NHS (9th), National French Honor Society (11-12), French Club (11-12)
Volunteering: around 30 hours in 9th grade

I also have a sibling who went to USC and a sibling who goes there now.

Acceptances: Tulane, Seattle U, Baylor
Waitlistings: U of Miami, Pepperdine

SAT looks really low to my eye but everything else seems fine.

Same thing is happening to me and I asked about it in the “When are USC RD decisions coming out” post

I’m hoping that the FA office is too busy figuring out who is getting the Presidential and Trustee scholarships which is why they haven’t finished all the FA stuff.

The financial aid process works separately from the admissions process and has not been an indicator of acceptance or rejection. “Pending” just means they have lots of stuff coming in and it takes a while to get to all of it.

GOOD LUCK!!!
