I was wondering how long does psu take to determine financial aid. They said they received my fafsa on march 12th, which was almost two weeks ago. Did anyone else receive their aid package?

Not me.

My FAFSA was received in Feb 10 but now they say it was received on March 12…lol Was your FAFSA marked down too ?

yes! I submitted the first day fafsa was available.

The priority deadline for maximum consideration was March 1. Looks like we are at a disadvantage…

Which is absolutely absurd seeing as I submitted way back in January/February

The aid summary should be out within this month. Did you contact the admission office ? Everyone’s fafsa’s might have been marked down to march 12.

Check you elion summary. I just received $1200 as Penn State grant ha what a joke

Yes, I know Penn State doesn’t give much. The PHEAA is my only hope.

My Fafsa was also dated March 12th when it was submitted in Feb.

Perhaps all of them are dated the same? I filed the FAFSA the first week available and my son’s is also dated March 12th. I was actually pleasantly surprised with the FA package. We are in state, with a low EFC, and he was awarded a trustee’s scholarship which helped significantly. Best of Luck to Everyone else!

I got mine this morning, and it was received by the school about the same time as yours.

They received mine the 12th and I got the update to go to eLion to view my financial aid award this morning.
You should get it soon!

Same here, dated 3/12 and I submitted ours on January 2nd.

received mine 22500$

Campus 2 Year Provost Awd $4,000

Chancellor’s Award $3,000

Bunton Waller Scholarship $3,200

Federal Pell Grant $2,823 $2,822 $5,645

Fed Suppl Educ Opport Grant $1,200

Federal Direct Sub Loan $3,500

Federal Direct Unsub Loan $2,000

i’m out state

That’s pretty generous. Is that main campus ^

Looks like out of stater’s get a lot more than in-stater’s

^ That’s not true, I only got 10,000 total, and have a 4,000 gap

Plus they also got the full pell grant…so the 0 EFC must have helped a lot in some of those scholarships…I had a “$7,000” EFC

^ Yeah, out of staters do not get more.
Mine was around $10,000, and about $5,000 are loans.

I can’t view my student summary anymore on elion. Is this the case with everyone or just me ?

Anyone ? BUMP
