So, my dad told me that he would take care of all of the financial aid for all the colleges I applied to since I was really really swamped with lots of things going on. Turns out my dad filled out the CSS and FAFSA…but didn’t fill out the IDOC or the Penn Financial Aid supplement. I’m pretty sure that I wouldn’t receive much aid anyway, so the money isn’t so much an issue, but I was just wondering if my dad not submitting like half of the financial aid forms would in any way affect my decisions? Does anyone have any advice on what I should do???
Call & ask. I think they might still let you submit PFAS. I don’t think they use IDOC? ( don’t they let you upload on thrir website?)
The decision itself won’t be affected, but you will receive your financial offer much much later than usual. Just submit the forms as fast as you can and include an apology for the delay. There isn’t anything else you can do at this point.
Would I be better off doing that or just asking them to cancel my financial aid application alltogether?
@swimmerman if the amount your require is negligible and you think you can afford the school, then by all means do as you consider best.
They will accept the forms late! If you think it would benefit you at all, I’d send them in.
Send them in anyway. Don’t throw away potential aid.
