Does anyone know when admitted students will receive their financial aid awards? Has anyone gotten theirs yet?

I sent an email to the admissions office asking that question and this is their reply:
"Information on need-based aid will be in an Award Notice that should
arrive in early April."

Just got ours today.

got ours today. no merit, some crappy 3500 loans. going somewhere else for 35 K as OOS

mind if i ask a personal question? what whas your general income bracket (lower, lowe middle, middle, upper middle, upper, etc)

Son got his today. 19,600 including 4000 year in loans.

i just got mine. 21,500 (8k in merit aid, 7k in grants, 6.5k in loans)

Screw UDel. I was hoping for decent aid, and they only offered $3500 in loans. I applied before the priority deadline and everything and I should have been qualified for merit aid/grants. Oh well. . . looks like no UDel for me.

Afro Ninj4: middle. I have no idea, especially when I got a a loan at Binghamton for 20,000 and GW gave me 24,000.
A loan of 3500 for OOS will cover books for 4 yrs. Good luck to all of you, can't afford UDEL

my package was fairly generous but itll end up being the most expensive of the schools i got accepted to (5k +6k in loans per year)

Found the FA disappointing in its mix. Guess when you've got a lineup waiting to get thru the turnstiles, they can, will, have said "take it, leave it."

Yup, middle class here and $3500 in loans the only offer. That puts UDel, previously her first choice, way down on the list. With 2 kids in college we just can't afford 1/3 of our income to go to colleges. Too many other bills to be paid ... like the mortgage!! Too bad, we really liked the school.

Same deal - $3500 in loans. Insulting, hence my S will be bypassing on this acceptance.

Just got ours, $3500 loan and $7000 merit scholarship, s is seriously considering, since BC gave him nothing but loan of $3500 and GW only gave him the same loan and $4000 merit.

UD was so stingy with my DD - loans only initially and then a tiny scholarship. We were insulted too, considering the other offers she had. But we let her go anyway because it had everything she wanted. She's a sophomore, has studied aborad and doesn't regret her choice at all, and neither do we, although we're petrified that our home equity line will be one of those frozen.

its a state school..you can't expect too much needbased aid sadly. I got 10k merit but only 3500 loan. Can't go here either. I guess im off to bentley or usc!

my aid package was definitely decent ($21,500- 6k of it loans) leaving me to pay 5k out of pocket. but its still not generous enough to make me go. One of you waitlisters can have have spot. im off to penn state

Can we have your aid money? :-) My D would love to go to UDel, but as I said before the lack of aid has knocked it way down on the list.

haha if it were possible i would totally give it to u

You can have mine too ... just tell 'em "But Whistle Pig said so!"

Not sure that'll fly ... sorta like me.
