Financial Aid - Now you see, now you don't!!

I was finally able to access the financial aid for my D late last night and again early this morning. But now the link is no longer enabled!?!?

Luckily, I made a screen shot of it and saved it!

Hopefully, they didn’t mess things up.

I’m curious to see what other have experienced.

@akdad, I have heard from my colleagues in Financial Aid that packages will be available for everyone to access and view in my.pitt.edu tomorrow.

Of course, if anyone has questions about your financial aid packages once you are able to view them, feel free to call our Office of Admissions and Financial Aid and select the option to speak with Financial Aid in the menu. 412-624-7488.

As a follow up from Financial Aid:

For anyone waiting for financial aid information, we apologize for the delay. Enhancements to the process have resulted in technical challenges. Please contact our office at finaid@pitt.edu or 412-624-7488 if you have not received your package by Friday, April 10th.

I just got an e-mail from the Chief Enrollment Officer that contained that exact text. I assume that went out to all applicants.

What I don’t understand it how I was able to view a package on-line earlier in the day. I wasn’t too disappointed in what I had seen. If it does change, I hope it only gets better.

I saw my son’s last night around midnight, as well. Then it disappeared today. I’m hoping ours WILL change.

We are anxious to sit down with my S to help him make his final decision about his selection (finally down to 2 - OSU and Pitt after eliminating his 3rd Penn State this week.) We were able to access his financial aide info on Thursday and thought we had all we needed to pull the trigger. However, it is now gone like everyone else’s? Can anyone tell me if they have heard whether the postings late this week were accurate? Will save us another long week of being undecided if the info Pitt posted will not change but just “reappear” at a later date. thanks so much!

Ditto everything you just said, @researchQ . Except for us, Thursday night eliminated Pitt. We’re hoping for better numbers to keep them in the hunt.

@HPAlpha We were hoping for better numbers from Pitt. We knew it was super competitive and coming from a highly ranked high school in PA we knew 3-4 kids already offered full tuition from our high school. a small grant might have made a difference as he loved Pitt and had spent 4 weeks there last summer. But he loves OSU and the merit scholarship beats Pitts full tuition by almost $4000 per year. Thankful our kids have such great choices no matter where they go but definitely learned a lot this go around which will prepare me for D next.

…and now you see it again…aid has been reposted - same as it was before!
