Just got an email that my son's FA offered was posted on WA. We are OOS and of course was hoping and needing more.

Well, that is supremely disappointing!

disappointing here as well. OOS

We have airline tickets for fly out on Sunday for Campus day on Monday… we will still go and see and meet with FA.

I’m OOS and am actually pretty happy with my FA offer

Kames20 - glad you got good aid… I guess ours could have been worse… my son did get some grant money… but we have a low EFC…

Kames20 could you please post your stats and which college you were admitted to.

^Don’t derail the thread.

On topic, my FA offer isn’t bad, but isn’t great. I love UM though so I’ll make it happen one way or another if I end up here.

Is there anyone in-state that’s been admitted EA and has not received an offer of FA? That’s my current situation…

I’m OOS, got no grant money. Just $5,500 in loans. Cool…

I got 32k in grants and 6k in loan…I’m an OOS applicant. I’m still going to have to cough up 10k somehow; I suppose through a loan since my efc is 0 :p.

My S got 11k in grant, 3k work study, 6k loan. EFC is 7k. In-state.

My D did not receive the mail about the FA yet, but I logged in anyways to check
It says, not Award Notice Found… and dollars 0. if I look at the summary.
Does that mean, she does not get any money at all???

8k in grants… I’m OOS so I’m basically screwed.

I got an 11k grant from um, plus work study and scholarships, so I only need to pay about $4500. Very surprised and very happy

How come I didn’t get an email saying that my FA award was posted on WA? I’m actually checking WA now, and it says zero… :(

mickjagger… click on financial aid document status… then click on the year 2011. Then click on award notices and there is a document you download with the information. I have zeros also under award summery … its under award notices. If still not there… maybe you did not have everything in right away… I did the FASFA on Jan 1st and CSS was done in November.

I’m OOS so I wasnt really expecting anything…and got exactly that. UM met under 50% of demonstrated need.

Check document status… I noticed yesterday on WA that they are asking for our 2010 tax return, which they say they requested on February 24 (never got the memo…). Faxed our return to FA yesterday.

MichMom07, we submitted our tax return in pretty late as well. Do you think we’ll still be able to get financial aid? I’m looking under award notices like GoGiantsfan29 said, but it says that there are no award notices found.
