I am eligible for a Pell grant, state grants, Stafford loan, subsidized and unsubsidized. I still have not formally decided on a college, although I have narrowed my choices. Can I accept financial aid offers from more than one school or will that jeopardize my grants? I just want to keep my options open for another month.

I don’t think you understand how it works. You can only accept one college admission. When you do that, you accept the financial aid package they offer. You can’t accept just aid and not accept the college. You should have until May 1, so what’s the issue?

Just make your matriculation decision before May 1, then accept the financial aid for THAT college.

The problem is that the financial aid awards say they need to be accepted/denied in 3 weeks or they will be cancelled. That date would be around April 21, which is before May 1. I wanted to wait until the end of April to decide for sure which college I want.

What grants are you talking about? What you have listed in your OP are all entitlements and they are not expiring. In fact, you can’t even sign on them for a while. Did colleges offer you some of their OWN money with that condition? IF that’s the case, then accept the the aid package. You can change your mind for a better offer if it comes along.

Accepting to the scholarship/financial aid does not mean you are committed to the school, accepting the admission offer does. So make sure you which one you are responding to. For some schools that used to require an acceptance of scholarship. now they make it automatically accepted.
