Financial aid on hold-academic appeal help!

Last semester I did not do so well it was my first semester working 40 hours a week and taking 12 credits and I had horrible time management so I did poorly in school.

My financial aid is on hold because of my GPA

I filed an academic appeal saying that and took less amount of credits

Do you think they will allow me to continue at school with financial aid?

This is the first time I have had a hold and a poor GPA

Has anybody gone through an academic financial aid appeal?

The first SAP appeal you file is generally successful, as long as you recognize what you did wrong and present a reasonable plan to fix it. However, if you take fewer than 12 credits, you probably won’t be considered a full-time student, and that will also affect your financial aid.

You were right they accepted my appeal

Thanks for your help

Congrats. Make absolutely sure you meet *all *the conditions of the FA appeal so as to keep your FA for next semester. Good luck.

Why are you working 40 hours a week? Are you attending a school that you can’t really afford?
