Financial Aid Package = Acceptance?

I received a financial aid package today. How can they offer money if I didn't even get into the school yet? Does it mean anything?

You are in!

You are absolutely in since, in most of the cases, it is offered after you got accepted

wow, congrats! you seem to...transcend time?

Did you receive it through TAMS, in the mail?

in the mail

strange... but congratulations man :)

I'm highly suspect of this. I know that financial aid awards have not been mailed yet.

^ And this is why it rocks to have admission people on CC :D

Does anyone know when financial aid packages will be available on TAMS?

Dan, we know you're lurking around. I know finaid isn't your department, but any speculation with regards to lehcar's question?

if the financial aid package link doesn't show up
does it basically mean you're rejected/waitlisted?

the decision won't come up yet

From Tufts' admitted class of 2012 website:
Financial Aid packages will be mailed the week of March 31st and will be available online beginning April 7th. If you applied for financial aid you will be able to view your aid package in TAMS when it is available.

no it doesn't, they don't release fin aid for a couple days, i thought the same before i opened my decision lol, but it doesnt mean that

thanks so much!
