I find it strange that I got my financial aid letter before my big acceptance envelope. Is this because the acceptance letter is shipped via UPS (or some other package shipping company) while fin aid is mailed via USPS? This would make sense, seeing as how shipping companies only work Mon-Fri, but then again, packages have gotten lost on the way to my house before. While a fin aid letter is the same essentially an acceptance, I'd still like to have the letter saying I got in...

Has anyone else received their aid letter before the acceptance letter?

i am an international student from SEasia and received my welcome packet the morning after online decision via FedEx. My friends in US didn’t receive theirs yet.

ah ok. yeah people in the US are just starting to receive their financial aid today and over the next week. And the acceptance letter is probably still in the mailing system or lost in the mail. They sent it priority mail so it should have already arrived. You should call on monday and maybe ask cornell…or the post office :)
