Financial Aid Package for ED

When do I find out about financial aid for ED? Does it come in the mail or is it through email?

In the mail. They’ll give you a link and you’ll follow some steps to get where you need to.

I can’t seem to find it in Caesar T_T

you can get on caesar already?!

Don’t worry! I live in Chicago (should get in within one day of them mailing it) and I didn’t get my letter(s) yet.

I got mail… I’m 30 minutes away from Evanston (where I live, I was probably one of the first to get everything, e-mail 4:57, mail on Saturday). The financial aid section of Caesar is unable to be “clicked”.

I didn’t get it yet.): I live about 30 minutes away as well and got the email at 4:55PM. Oh well, probably just the mail.

It’s nothing special, I won’t spoil it for you but there are no “goodies” per say.

Lol can’t wait.(:

Wow you seem to be on just as much as I am, what’s up? + The certificiate is pretty cool.

NM! Trying to start my ****load of Physics but I can’t./:

I have a financial aid question. Do you need to fill out the FAFSA form before they will send you your financial aid package? It says on my CAESER account that I still need to turn in my FAFSA form and W-2s. But looking on the Northwestern website it says that you need to submit the CSS profile by December 1 (which I did), but then it says the FAFSA form is due by Februaruy 15. I’m assuming the FAFSA is not needed for them to make their financial aid decision, right? Just double checking.

This is the 3rd time for me overall, the 2nd for NU, just to establish my street cred…

The FAFSA is not as detailed as the CSS form you already filled out.

You will fly through the FAFSA, if you have your CSS in hand.

And yes, your assumption - in this case anyway - is correct. They don’t need no stinkin’ FAFSA to offer you aid.

Good luck

And BTW - You are now an Admitted Student, so you have the right and should avail yourself of the opportunity to email and/or call NU directly, as opposed to posting on a message board.

I think CSS is just to estimate what you need. They should still send your FA package this soon, but it’s not the final amount you get. They determine the final amount through your FAFSA.

did anyone get their FA yet?

No, but I know people who have.

I don’t think anyone should have their financial package yet. I called and they told me that they plan on sending packages on Friday, so this means that financial aid should be available online this Saturday

Didn’t someone post that you can view it on line via Caesar?

The link is there, but nothing is available yet.

It implies that you have to submit your FAFSA first…hmmmmm…
