I recently received an email from the Dartmouth financial aid office regarding some minor inconsistencies between my FAFSA and CSS profile. It wasn't a form letter but rather addressed specific portions of my financial aid application, suggesting someone was compiling a package for me. My question is simple - does Dartmouth calculate financial aid packages for everyone that applies, or does this suggest something about the status of my application?

Last year D got questions from three Ivy schools. She got accepted at two and was waitlisted by the third.

We also received a request for more financial information from Dartmouth . It was followed by an acceptance letter . So it is a good sign !

Same thing here: the FA inquiry was followed by acceptance. I’d take it as a good sign, BUT…don’t count on anything yet. You never know whose acceptance they might have to pull off the table if the go over, for example.
