<p>Hi, I'm a high school senior who's going to NC State, and I'm a little surprised I don't have a financial aid package yet, as we're approaching mid-May. I've already had to confirm enrollment, and now I'm looking at flying to North Carolina for freshman orientation, all without a financial aid package. My brother, also at NC State, has not received a financial aid package either.</p>
<p>Has anyone received a financial aid package? Is it normal for NC State to take this long? </p>
<p>Does anyone know about when to expect a financial aid package to show up on MyPack Portal?</p>

<p>My D’s aid package just appeared on MyPack Portal last Tuesday night. She’s a returning student. While we 1st completed the FAFSA in February with estimated numbers, we were later than we’d like in getting the final numbers completed due to tax prep delays. Was your FAFSA selected for verification? Have you completed ALL requested documents and sent them to FinAid office?</p>

<p>I’ll give it a couple more days before I contact the Financial Aid office, which I’m sure is extremely busy right now.</p>
<p>My FAFSA was selected for verification, but I did the IRS retrieval and verification form and got all the necessary documents in weeks ago. All the documents in the “documents” list on MyPack Portal are labeled “complete.”</p>
<p>Do you think people whose FAFSAs had to be verified might just get their award package a little late?</p>
<p>It sounds like you are in good shape as far as getting everything completed. </p>
<p>Verification does make the process a little more drawn out, and I’ve had no luck in figuring out the FinAid office’s timing. The only clue I got once was when an Aid Officer, after learning that we submitted the final FAFSA using the IRS data retrieval tool, said that the data should be on their next “Friday update”. </p>
<p>To give an idea of our timeline: Initially filed FAFSA 2/22 with estimated numbers. We filed taxes around 4/9 and mailed required forms to NCSU. A completed FAFSA (using IRS tool) was submitted 4/20 (btw, missing that week’s Friday update). The Aid Letter finally appeared on MyPack Portal around 5/8.</p>

<p>Thanks for the info, klinger. Every Friday I’ve been filled with excitement, thinking, “It’s been a week, surely my aid package will be in by now!” Disappointed every time. I emailed the aid office two weeks ago, and they said everything’s fine, you’ll get your aid package soon. Should I email them again?</p>
<p>I would be emailing and calling. For an incoming Freshman like yourself, I’m surprised you have no news yet.</p>
