Financial Aid Packages at UVA?

I'm looking at applying to UVA as one of my "safer" schools. (I'm out-of-state, so I am aware that it really isn't that safe; compared to many of my others, though, it will be.)

How well does UVA do financial aid packages? I will need a fair sum of money to attend, but it will not be a situation where I need a full ride or anything. I'm just curious to know whether they would be willing and able to meet such a demand? Thanks.

UVA is recognized at being one of a very few publics to meet need and is well known for being good with FA based on need.

That’s good to hear! I knew it was better than most publics for FA but I did not know if it would keep up with some of the private schools I’m looking at.

From UVa’s website, Information for Prospective Students, A Commitment to Affordability:

[U.Va</a>. Financial Aid - Information for Prospective Students](http://www.virginia.edu/financialaid/prospective.php)

You should find a great deal of information here.

Lots and lots on info on here about FA. Do a search for “financial aid” or “accessUVA” and you’ll get a world of info
