Would be curious to hear from any students who have received their Financial Aid package for Fall 2007. This is ONLY for those who will be Sophomores, or older, in the Fall/2007 Semester. (All incoming Freshman should have received their F/A package many weeks ago).

Just curious to hear that you have received it, and if the package was (1) about the same award as last year, (2) improved package over last year, or (3) worst package as compared to last year.

I had called the F/A office about a week ago, and the guy indicated that F/A packages for Sophomores and older would start posting in OASIS as of today (June 18, 2007), and will continue to post until the middle of July.

I'm going to be a junior and mine isn't posted yet. But I can tell you that the aid I received from Sophomore year and Freshman year was about the same. Except I believe the student loans were a little higher.

Freshman year, I had only subsidized Stafford loans. Sophomore year, some of it changed to unsubsidized. Work study decreased a bit. My total financial aid package I think was a bit better overall. My parents didn't have to take out any PLUS loans this past year.

My junior fin aid package has not been posted yet.

They just added an outside scholarship to last year's finaid. Problem is, that check doesn't get sent until November (crazy bureaucrats), so my finaid package is probably gonna be slightly worse.

I called financial aid office the other day and an automated operating voice said financial aid award will be posted at the end of June. Shrugs*

I've gotten some details on mine, but I'm low income (EFC of $90), and mine's easy to calculate. I got an extra governmental grant, so my university grant will go down by that much, but how much I pay is staying exactly the same.

We're confused...her aid was up but at least as of yet her merit scholarship, which is renewable annually if you maintain a certain GPA (which she more than met), wasn't included. ??? She is calling tomorrow.

Does anyone know if they have awarded Town & Gown Scholarships for sophomores? My daughter applied (she hadn't applied as an incoming freshman) and her interview seemed to go well, she had a very high GPA and good activities, but was surprised to be told it wasn't strictly a merit scholarship, that Financial Aid office also has input on it, so to some extent it's need-based. We're assuming at this point she didn't get one but maybe if they're still working on processing merit scholarships there's still a chance? Every bit helps. :)

I got the same as last year, with the only exception being that my Federal Stafford Loan changed from unsubsidized last year to subsidized this year.

My small $2K scholarship hasn't been posted either (hey pretty good for some 1 paragraph essay I wrote in 20 minutes during work. ^^ haha I basically finished it right before the deadline because I forgot about it)

Last year my parents had 10K gap to fill but this year its been reduced to 6K. However, my loan went up overall 1K more than last year (the puny scholarship helps! yay!) I think they figured they couldn't sqeeze anymore money from my parents so they are trying to get it from me. LOL. Overall cost went up but so did my grant. I only have to pay 600 dollars to cover up the tuition itself because my grants pretty huge... The tuition's like 35.8K and my grant's like 35K. haha.

So overall its all good. :D EVERYTHING went up together. hahaahaha.
