Just noticed that the date has moved from late March to early April for financial aid notices to come out for new incoming freshman. It says it could take 5-6 weeks which means if you are holding out making your decision to find out about your financial aid first then you may not find out in time.
Per UT Financial Aid Department Twitter Account, they said they will start sending out financial aid packages to incoming Freshmen on Monday.
Excited to see if my daughter finds out this week what kind of Financial package UT will give her. Freshmen should start finding out today!!!

@NotSoPatient , we got ours as well but it was only Loans. What scholarship money are you hoping for? Son didn’t get a Presidential Scholarship or any of the big name UT awards. I think/thought all those have been released. Are there others that I’m not aware of or are you talking about Texas Exes and private ones etc?
@NotSoPatient and @TXDad56 when did y’all do the FASFA? Just wondering if they go in order they are received.
@TXDad56 Ours was also only loans… Our LHD didn’t get any of the big name UT awards either. I was talking about private ones, yes. I read that Texas Exes will release awards during April & May. @amottmers we fiinalized our FAFSA in early Feb.
@NotSoPatient , thanks for clarifying that. We are applying to many Texas Exes and private scholarships as well. Crossing fingers but still looking for others to apply to. We put our FASFA in the last week of January.

MyStatus also updated today. Nothing more than loans.
My application still says my Freshman Scholarship Application is under review, however I just received my FA package and it is just loans. Does this mean I still have a chance for scholarships?
I’m not sure if I have seen anyone post that that section has been updated. (please, correct me if I’m wrong.)
BTW- we have had a scholarship offer in hand for several weeks & it is not listed in MyStatus. I wonder if any of the recipients of the scholarships from Plan II or Engineering have them posted on their financial section?
Got my financial aid package as well. Would have to loan out around 14,000. Anyone know if other scholarships would be continuing to come out as well? Or is this it? I was hoping there would be a university need based scholarship such as the one Baylor offered.
@bookmom7 I received a letter about three weeks ago with a merit scholarship from Cockrell. When I look at my financial aid page it says it will be reflected once I upgrade my EID at the new student orientation.
Daughter’s financial aid package posted today…with over 15k in loans…praying for a miracle and some scholarships come in. She is absolutely in panic mode right now. 
Oh and NO scholarships offered from UT at all… Pell Grant, TEACH Grant, and loans…and more loans…
@JustJeanie - had you previously looked at the NPC and what your estimated cost would be?

My financial aid package didn’t come in at all… Everybody seems to have gotten theirs, wonder what the problem is.
