Financial aid packages

Before I choose a school, I need to know how much money I will be receiving in aid. I got into UO and got a $16,000 dollar OOS dean's scholarship (4,000 a year). However, I still need to know how much aid I'd receive before confirming that I'd attend.

Is there a specific date that the UO notifies incoming Fall quarter freshmen of their aid packages?

I believe my daughter got her final financial aid packages in late March/early April. That’s pretty typical for most schools. You don’t normally have to commit to attend until May 1 – that’s true almost everywhere if you’re not an early decision applicant.

Thanks for the info! I’m more worried about getting my housing fee in though, since it’s due around sometime in March. I don’t want to lose 50 dollars because I find out I can’t afford to even go there.

Yeah… if you don’t qualify for need-based federal aid, there probably isn’t another very large chunk of money coming from UO. This is just based on the experience of others that I know personally… so not definitive, but it’s what I would assume in your situation.

The non-refundable $50 is unfortunate, I agree.
