Financial Aid Packages?

Has anyone gotten or heard any information about their financial aid package yet? D2 was admitted RD and loved WFU but without financial aid it is absolutely undoable for us. We can't make it for Campus Days 2012 so we are going back to visit in a few days but it would be good to know what the aid package is before she falls in love all over again.

We are in state and have not heard anything either. I am hopeful we will hear something by the end of the week. My D liked Wake Forest a lot when we visited and I think it is a very good school. I am not sure it is a “great” school - not worth the sticker price and it is not doable for us without financial aid. Anxious to see what they offer. Luckily, she has other very good, affordable options.

I talked to the office today and they said that they should be mailed out April 12!

D received her financial aid package today (we live in NC and had everything submitted prior to the filing deadline). It was a decent package, but not enough to make her change her mind about attending UNC. The majority is scholarship and grant money, subsidized with work study and loans.

Our daughter received a letter from the financial aid office today. I waiting for her to come home from play practice!

Financial Aid Package gave me about 37000 in scholarships. Leaving with about 20000. Not interested in taking out a loan. Parents are willing to about 5000. Any thoughts? Does anybody know of any outside scholarships I still have time to apply to?

Got financial package today (we’re in MD). Not that good. Don’t know.

Got my financial aid in Oregon today. Grants were more generous than I expected ($40,000), but that still leaves more loans than I’m comfortable with. Am receiving more than $12,000 more per year from USC (need-based aid only)…but I suppose this was to be excected with Wake.

We actually got our package when we were down there and had more info in the mail waiting when we got home. We could live with the package which was quite good while D1 was in her 4th year of college but D1 is in a 5 year program and WFU no longer counts her in our EFC even though she won’t have a degree after 4 so the package will change and makes it undoable at this point. Still trying to see if we can make this work D2 would give just about anything (accept huge debt) to attend.

This is really the problem at Wake. It doesn’t have much of an endowment, compared to other schools, and really can’t compete with other top notch schools in the giving of financial aid.

anyone still not gotten their packages? I have not…

very frustrating to see these posts! I’m coming up for a visit next friday and hopefully ill know by then?

Does anyone know if International students will be send financial aid packages/scholarship packages? I live in London & nothing has arrived yet
