well im hoping for more still...im going to write a letter explaining a few situations that BC way be unaware of and hope for some more....it mkaes me mad though that because i have worked over the last 4 years, the government takes all that money into consideration and gives me next to nothing....if i worked less, i would get more...the system makes no sense

Well it was tied for my #1 choice, but I'm pretty sure Georgetown isn't going to give me much more. So I'm pretty much waiting to see if I get any merit scholarships from BU.

Anyone else receive any financial packages yet??

holy crap
my efc= 11000 (fafsa)
and i get no money .nothin at all i got was $6200
damn./.......its impossible for me to go there now

$6200 and your efc was 11000.. jeeze, that sucks. that's also kinda weird 'cus my efc is 22000 and i got like 14000 (including loans and work/study) which really isnt that much better. i dunno, all of this financial aid stuff is completely over my head. but i hear ya though.

does anybody think boston college is worth $44000 per year? even w/ your financial aid, does anybody think that it is worth it to go?? i'm really caught in between all of this (like whether i should go to bc or somewhere else that is cheaper) so i'd love to hear what you all have to say...

i think that its all robbery, but its worth it to go to a school with a name, unless you know that you can and will be the best at a less prestigious "cheaper school" (you all know what i mean) for me i feel the high price is worth it....it does suck alot though...

I still think that it is worth it. BC is an amazing school, and I feel like it's the perfect fit for me. So unless I get a full ride somewhere else, I'd say it's worth the 45,000 a year.

I think i'm kind of in the same situation you all are in. Coming from a middle class family we won't recieve any financial aid and will probably end up having to pay for most of the tuition ourselves. Sucks.

boston college scholarship: $14,800
fed work study: $2,200
fed stafford loan-est: $2,625
fed perkins loan: $1,500

total: $21,125 .. estimated cost of education $43,780

are you all early applicants? that are getting finaid already?
