What exactly is included in one?
What does it look like?
When do schools typically send them out?
Schools usually send their financial aid awards out with, or shortly after an acceptance. The packet will include grants, scholarships, work study, and student loans you have received. In some cases, there is also a note about the availability of the Parwnt Plus Loan to cover any unmet costs.
You should also check your student portals. Some schools post the financial aid awards on the student portal.
Thank you so much. I was just wondering since most of the info i’ve gotten has just been “estimates”
Did you complete your taxes? Does your FAFSA indicate that you have filed your taxes?
If not, all you will get will be an estimate.
In the packages we’ve received: offer letter, official “response” letter for signature, loan application, Financial Aid Brochure (FAQs, etc).
Sreyes…clearly you got a few financial aid awards…aren’t you the student who had differing Pell amounts?
Look at the awards you received. That is what a financial aid award looks like. Is there something you were expecting that isn’t on your awards?
They are sending you the estimated FA package to help you to make decision by May 1. The actual FA may depend on the accuracy of your CSS profile and/or FAFSA submission. They will finalize it after they have verified the data later on.
