Thanks StarbucksBarista! My daughter got a very genorous package…hope you did too!

@Highbury, I’m glad I could help! I was pleasantly surprised. I spent a lot of time calculating numbers on the Net Price Calculator… when in actuality, the actual aid package was about $5,000 more than I anticipated!

Excellent Starbucks! Glad you got good news too.

I got extremely generous financial aid, which puts Wellesley as my top choice for now :)

Wellesley definitely means it when they say they want to make it affordable.

Sooo generous!

EFC ~3500 + work study ~2000!

Thank you Wellesley!

damn. $8000 more than we can probably do. I wonder if calling them and explaining that my mom was recently (December) laid off and had to take a $40,000 pay cut for a new job would help. on the other hand, this makes Smith’s Zollman scholarship look even more appealing.

itdoesdeath, you have nothing to lose by appealing the decision based on recent changes in your family’s financial situation. I get the impression Wellesley is really looking to do what seems right based on their commitment to affordability.

Thanks starbucks for the info. I was pleasantly surprised to wake up to some solid information! Wellesley offered a great fin aid package for my daughter.
Wellesley is starting to look like a reality! I’m so excited for her!

Very, very generous FA. Wellesley is now competitive with full-tuition scholarship at state flagship :)

I got the most amazing package ever. My EFC is so much lower than what I could have hoped for I am the happiest person in the world. It’s my first choice by far right now!
