financial aid problem?

I applied for financial aid...but they keep sending me letters back saying that my application is incomplete. Well, my dad is still finding out what needs to be completed and is doing that, but I'm wondering if there is still time for me to get any kind of money at all? So far, I've gotten financial aid letters from the other schools on my list, but not from Swat yet...

I'm a bit worried because the FAFSA puts my parents' EFC at 39k something, which doesnt seem like it's right, and my counselor at school also says that that number sounds wrong. But anyway, the other schools haven't given me much aid, and I'm hoping that if Swat gives me more money than the other schools do, that I won't have to end up going to my state school just because it's less expensive. I think I'd be pretty unhappy at my state school...do you think Swat will still give me some money of some sort, maybe even more than the other schools, so that I might go there?

Swarthmore's administrative offices are VERY friendly. They are friendly even if you did not get in yet and are friendly when you did get in. So, I think you should call them directly. One phone call is all it takes..

yea, and swat is very generous and does a great job meeting your efc, but if your efc is 39,000 i wouldnt expect too much beyond that because with everything i've read they seem pretty firm that your parents should meet your efc and you should earn about 1500 every summer. so i think you should recheck your fafsa to see if maybe you made a mistake or something on it or try to figure out why the number is so high. you could even call and just ask how come your efc is so high if your parents cant afford it.
