I am an early action applicant who was deferred, but when I applied I indicated that I was going to be applying for financial aid. However, when I was working on my other applications I changed my mind about applying for financial aid and indicated "no" on all my other applications. Since it's been so long, I forgot about my answer to the MIT question, and didn't inform the admissions office but naturally did not submit an application for financial aid. Will this count against me in any way and should I still contact the admissions office?

It’s not a problem – the admissions office doesn’t know or care if you submit an aid application or not.

You might consider contacting the financial aid office to let them know not to expect an application from you, just as a courtesy.
