does anyone elses financial aid award say that your award status is conditional?
my efc is 10,000 and my award from them was 25,000…which still leaves more than 30,000 that i would have to pay a year. (When my older sister went to BC with the same EFC her tutition was about 14-16,000 a year) and I had to send in some documents early last week that they were missing? so does anyone know if maybe the award I have right now is just an estimate and they havent reevaluated my package since i sent in my documents? and maybe thats why it says my status is conditional? what do your satuses say?

my status is also conditional, because i just sent in my 2010 tax returns; your conditional status is most likely because you just turned in some forms. in addition, the lady i spoke with over the phone said i couldn’t check my financial aid update for a week after i had sent in new forms (it takes that long to process it). if you are going to appeal, however, i would not wait until you received an “updated” package to ask for more money (unless the forms you sent in drastically contrast your income/asset statements from previous documents). it seems to take them a while to do anything; i would send in my appeal form/letter/etc as soon as you can. that way, you’ll (hopefully) get the financial aid package you want BEFORE may 1. i’m new at this as well, but that’s my opinion.
