Financial Aid Question

I have the full Cal Grant A reward, but I'm currently enrolled in 11 units (and waitlisted for two classes, 8 units). This reflects in my statement since it says I'm only receiving 3/4 of my Cal Grant Fall Quarter reward atm. Does this mean I have to drop one of my waitlisted classes and enroll in another class in order to get my full reward? What if one of these waitlisted classes is currently listed as "Full" temporarily for the purpose of priority enrollment?

wait a minute… I’m currently not technically enrolled in any classes since I’m wait listed for all my classes. Does this mean I’m not receiving the full Cal Grand award right now? @ObsSlplss how do you find the statement that says how much of the Cal Grant your receiving this fall?

My Tritonlink -> Account Balance -> See Account Details -> Current Account Activity
It should list CAL GRANT X NEW. Umm, if you’re waitlisted for all of your classes, it might not be on there yet.

IDK though. They might add our cal grant reward back if we end up enrolled in over 13 units over the quarter since they have to account for class changes/drops/etc. after the registration fee deadline.

You can check your Financial Aid, so you will know the answer.
My classes are paid by Cal Grant A already (I registered for 16 units )
Only my loans are pending.

Your Financial Aid should look like:

CAL GRANT A NEW 12192.00 12192.00 4064.00

I checked earlier. xD
CAL GRANT A NEW Confirmed 12,192.00 12,192.00 3,048.00
I want to know whether that 3,048 will go up to 4,064 somehow if I’m enrolled in 13+ units AFTER the registration fee deadline at the start of the school year or if I have to change my classes BEFORE the registration fee deadline in order to get that aid.

I dont remember if this happened to me but I think I was able to wait and they award me the full amount later. The fees arent due until the 21st anyways so they’ll likely award you the remainder when you get enrolled in 12+ units.

Thanks for the help AndrewL!

toan35, my college facebook group was discussing this today. According to them, we have to enroll in 12+ non-waitlist units by September 17. Then we can drop the class/enroll or waitlist in another one once the quarter actually starts.
