Has anyone ever submitted a revision request due a parents income change and see results?

My situation’s different as I just separated from the military. I went to the finance office and they gave me a form to fill out where I project how much money I expect to make for the fiscal year. As I no longer had a job I didn’t forecast earning any money as I will be using the G.I. Bill. I submitted the form and about a week later I received an updated financial aid package offering increased federal loans and I was offered the Pell Grant which was what I wanted. Go to Schmitz and talk to the financial aid counselors. Your parents can probably fill out the same form.

@wils2797 Yeah, I’m hoping for the same type of thing. I filled out the forms this morning after a parent of mine will be losing a major portion of their income due to an illness. Before this, I was offered barely anything, so I’m hoping they’ll up my award a bit.

I’m glad they were able to help ya out! Hopefully it all turns out in the end

Yes I did. It is super easy. If you live in WA, go to the financial aid office and fill out a forum from income change. they never asked me to prove it (it was real though; had pay stubs). Few days later, I was granted Pell Grants as well as some loans.

@elyan11 Were those funds able to cover most of your cost? I’m at a bad point to where I don’t know if I should cancel my housing or not yet… I’m glad they were able to help you :)

Please note, I didn’t live in the UW housing. I lived off campus. And yes it did cover all my tuition and my living costs. It should cover housing. Again, if you live nearby, you can go there and fill out the appeal and get a better idea about it. FYI, if you keep your GPA apove 3.5 you get awarded excellence scholarship 1k.
