Try to get your ACT/SAT scores up and finish strong with your GPA.
DePauw Univ is a css school that doesn’t require NCP info. In the past, they have given good aid pkgs. don’t know if that’s only to their stronger students or not.

@thumper1 yes,that is correct.
Sorry I mentioned the term net price upthread. The goal is to find a school where with merit and/or institutional need based aid the direct costs (tuition, fees,room and board if living on campus) only leave a balance that can be covered with the Pell grant, PA grant and $5,500 student loan.
So if a school’s net pice calculator figures in merit, need based institutional grants, Pell and PA grant, then the net price you are looking for shouldn’t be much higher than the student loan.
As mentioned above, look into Berea.
@treschicos Do you have any of those types of colleges in mind? My grandma would probably willing to help but I have to talk to her and my mom about it.
@mommdc thank you for those suggestions! I’ve looked at some CC if that ends up being what I need to do and there are some good community college/transfer to university agreements. Also, my brother doesn’t have really good stats so merit aid is probably not an option for him.
I’m sure I’ll find some way to work this out. Thanks everyone for all the advice!
