I was just looking over the CSS Profile, and it says to allow a week between submitting and expecting the college to receive it…now, there’s NO way I’m going to finish the profile today, is this going to be a big problem? I’ll definitely submit it before November 1st…Penn will accept this, correct? It’s an honest mistake, and it seems that they won’t even care about financial information until they make their decisions, will this be ok?

I think that will be OK. I didn't know we could send the first part of the app in before the second one. So I just got to that today. I probably won't recieve my financial aid form before next week. I seriously hope that will be ok.

My dad and I were doing financial aid forms last night. the profile is taking a riduculous amount of time, i'm just making sure that i submit it online before the 1st. it costs $23, correct??

QUESTION: doesn't the collegeboard profile ask for 2006 Tax Return? obviously no one can file it yet, should i just put the 2005??

Yeah, I'm just doing 2005...how long does the profile take?

The profile does not take that long. All you need is your parents tax forms and you will be able to answer all the questions in a flash.

Financial aid information is sort of important so don't freak. Last year we forgot to submit the CSS profile and we got a letter in the mail a few weeks before admissions decisions came out and Penn said it needed that form.

Ironically, that was a sign I had gotten in because they like to give you your financial aid package with you acceptance notification. If you don't get in however, they don't really care if you have sent them you financial aid stuff because they don't waste their time making you a fin aid package.

What would happen if I were to submit my profile a few days late? Anything?

nothing, really. since it all goes to different offices, the admissions people wouldn't know if the fin aid ppl had gotten ur stuff until they had made a decision.

good deal paro
